Autobiography

Robyn Woidtke, Principle

Robyn Woidtke is a RN and a registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT), one of the first 500 registered in the world!

Through her more than 25 years in the sleep medicine field, many advances have occurred, from collecting sleep data with paper and ink and hand calculations to computerized sleep data acquisitions systems, which provide additional integral information.  Therapy options have dramatically improved and offer patients a variety of choices.

Robyn has served on the Board of Association of Polysomnographic Technologists (now American Association of Sleep Technologists: AAST), core faculty member at the School of Sleep Medicine in Palo Alto; faculty, Sleep Apnea Educator program for the American College of Chest Physicians and is a frequent presenter at national and local professional meetings.

In addition to her sleep background, Robyn has extensive background in clinical affairs within the medical device product development arena, specializing in bringing sleep products to market, clinical marketing of same and the integration of sleep testing for clinical research professionals.

She has numerous publications in respiratory, sleep and clinical research journals. She has an undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and in her spare time, is currently in graduate school. She has also achieved certification in clinical research administration and regulatory affairs.

Robyn enjoys life to its fullest. In addition to a crazy work schedule, she tries to bring balance into her life between a very busy husband, a blended family, a love of nature and water activities such as skiing and boating, to frequent entertaining of friends and family at home. Robyn states 'I have a village' I can't imagine it any other way"

Robyn is looking forward to adding more nurses to her "village of sleep medicine" and hope that you will find the passion and excitement she has found all these years.
